Description:
Ernest Hemingway was one of the most original and influential writers of the twentieth century, and his innovations are most clearly seen in his short stories. We’ll read and discuss some of the most famous: “Indian Camp,” “Big Two-Hearted River,” “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place,” “The Snows of Kilimanjaro,” and more. We’ll also learn the biographical and critical background of the literature, including the Hemingway “code.”
