Description:
A different instructor will teach each of the classes comprising this course and will cover aspects of music appreciation of particular interest to that instructor. Content will include the following topics: In Music and Language, Nancy Colter will discuss how music relates to language and communication. John Cooper will talk about Music Through the Ages, highlighting the musical differences from the Medieval Period to the 20th Century. In How Not to Listen to Music, Natalie Raimondi will share with us how to determine the methods a composer uses to achieve the desired effect. Bob Gallon will give us An Introduction to Modern Music. We will end with a presentation by Lee Patterson.
