Anne Sexton and the Confessional Poets

Description: In the first two weeks, the group will read and discuss several poems by several American “confessional” poets. Among those are Plath, Roethke, Snodgrass, Lowell, etc. Then for the final four weeks, the group will focus on the poetry of Anne Sexton, one of the most interesting, complex and important of the “confessional” poets.
