Description:
The course will consist of one indoor session, which will be a review of new guide books and optics, birding essentials, and identifying bird families, especially in Maine, and four field trips on and off MDI. (Please note that the field trips will be twice a week.) The first class is indoors and starts at 9:30 am. Field trip times will vary. Students need to have binoculars, and be able to walk moderate distances and stand for long periods of time.
