Description: The course will emphasize physical and biological oceanography: the form, climate, circulation and resources of the oceans. Depending on class interest, special topics may include hurricanes, ocean energy production, overfishing, acidification, desalination and climate change. One class will be led by Sean Todd, COA Marine Science Professor & Allied Whale Director, on Gulf of Maine ocean conditions & whales.
