Curling!

Location: Belfast Curling Club, Belfast, Maine
Time: Class registrations are now open.
Description:Curling will begin in January 2010 at the Belfast Curling Club. This year a new element will figure into the fun as curlers from the Senior College at Maine Hutchinson Center, located in Belfast, join the ASC curlers. There will be a course of instruction and competition for all abilities from beginners to experienced curlers. In addition to traditional “sliding delivery,” upright “stick delivery” will be taught. The range of abilities should provide a balance of competition.
Instructors will be Stan Rooney, Meredith Coffin and other members from the Belfast Curling Club.
Orientation is 2:00, Friday, January 29, 2010, at the Town Hill Union Trust Bank conference room.
Curling begins on February 5 and is every Friday through March 12, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. There will be make-up days for any snow days.
Participants should bring a brown bag lunch. Transportation is by car-pooling.
The fee is $50 for this activity and includes use of all equipment. Current ASC membership is required. Sign up by emailing or calling the ASC office.
XC Skiing or Snowshoeing
