While membership fees and course tuitions help to cover much of the College's administrative costs, the generous support of community members is needed to
help sustain ASC's work and build an endowment. There are a number of ways
to donate to ASC, including:
Memorial and Honorary Gifts
You can make a gift and designate it as a gift in memory of, or in tribute to a loved one. Enclose a note with your gift with instructions and ASC will notify family members of your gift as requested.
Gifts of Stock
Making a gift of appreciated stocks or securities is a wonderful way to help ASC, while providing the donor with a way to avoid capital gains taxes on appreciated assets. If you are interested in making such a gift, ASC Treasurer Bill Dohmen would be happy to assist you. He can be reached at 288-5774 or by calling the ASC office at 288-9500.
Planned Giving Opportunities
Planned gifts enable you to benefit ASC and also receive a benefit yourself. There are a number of ways to make a planned gift. Since laws and regulations in the area change frequently, it is advisable to check with your attorney. Naming ASC as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, investment account or IRA, or as a beneficiary in your will, are some of the easiest ways of making a planned gift to the College.
