Volunteers are the backbone of Acadia Senior College. During the first five years that the College operated, the work was done almost entirely by its members.
ASC members actively volunteer in a variety of capacities including:
• Instructors
• Guest lecturers
• Special events planners and doers
• Board of Directors and committees
• Finances – bookkeeping and handling accounts payable and receivables
• Staffing the office, answering phones, taking registrations, keeping files and member information updated
Note: Not only are ASC members giving to the College, a 2005 survey found that on average, our members give about 300 hours annually to different organizations, churches and groups in the area.
