Alison Leonard

Alison Leonard has had a varied career, from working in international development to teaching information literacy, media literacy and critical thinking skills at Husson University in Maine and Lynn University in Florida. She has a BA in History from Virginia Tech, an MLS from San Jose State University, and an MA in Global Commerce and Policy from George Mason University, which included study abroad in England at Oxford University, where she earned a certificate in Global Law and Politics in International Trade. Alison fulfilled her final career goals by becoming an Interpretive Park Ranger with the National Park Service, working as  a ranger at Nez Perce National Historical Park and Acadia National Park in Maine. She has volunteered with the Sierra Club and Appalachian Mountain Club building trails in California and Acadia National Park. She has visited over 90 national parks in the U.S., running into bears on the trail but thankfully no mountain lions.
