ASC President's Column
As the Mount Desert Island community basks in the glow of the High School’s state championships in track and boys basketball, we at ASC are basking in the glow of our new website. It has been a long process but one we hope you will find worth the effort. In the future, we will be able to sign up for courses and know immediately if we are admitted in our chosen course. And, as before, we will be able to review the schedule of events and plan our ASC activities. Please enjoy the new website and we welcome your input.
Courses for the Spring term begin soon as our Coffee Clash season nears its end, and our Food For Thought continues for a few more months before the summer hiatus. Tomorrow, braving frigid temps, a score or more head off to Schoodic for the overnight program in its second year. Our Members’ Art Show Opening Party will be held on May 12 (note that date change!) and our plans continue for our Best of Acadia week-long ASC/COA collaborative program from July 10-14. A jewel of a trip to the Portland Museum of Art and Winslow Homer Studio Tour is planned on June 2. There is a lot to look forward to this spring and early summer, and I look forward to seeing you at these events.
Sincerely, Nat Fenton President, Acadia Senior College
