John Bryan
Professor Bryan (PhD Boston University 1972) taught art and art history for 34 years at the University of South Carolina. His books include Maine Cottages (Princeton Architectural Press, 2005). His research has been funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Endowment for the Arts, the American Institute of Architects, and the Smithsonian Institution. The Bryan family has summered on Swans Island for 56 years.
