Seth Singleton

Seth Singleton has taught courses in international affairs since the 1970s, most recently at the University of Maine. He studied Russian history and literature at Harvard and international security and Africa at Yale. His research specialty for many years was Soviet policy in Asia and Africa. He has been a Fulbright Scholar, a Faculty Associate at the Harvard Russian Research Center (now the Davis Center), a consultant to the US government, and academic dean in universities in the US and overseas. He has lived in Russia, Vietnam, Tanzania, and Ecuador and consulted and lectured in China, Mongolia, Bolivia, and several African countries. Seth Singleton lives in Mount Desert and appreciates the vibrant community on Mount Desert Island.
